ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
we are COMMITTED. WE ARE intentional.
we are strategic. we ARE BLACK excellence.
CORE SET 5K #HOWWEFIGHT #THEBLACKTABLE2020
The Core Set 5K is a strategic plan of action to economically empower the Black Community. Inspired by the youth of The Wilson Academy, Founder, Byron F. Wilson set out to permanently effect change. Together with other leaders and organizations, we create consequences to social injustice against Black Americans through economic empowerment and exercising our constitutional rights. We do not seek to change minds; we seek to change behaviors with actionable plans and execution.
We implement a 2-Point Plan, in which the two components are:
1) Economic Empowerment, and
2) Exercising our right to bear arms
-
We intentionally, preferably, and whenever possible, exclusively support equitable Black-owned businesses.
-
We encourage ownership, entrepreneurship and investment for Black people and will educate ourselves and our communities in these areas.
-
We will not unconditionally commit to or rely on any political party; rather we will use our economic power to influence political outcomes. In this way we become our own political party, removing the power from the hands of others and placing ourselves in position to solve our own communities' problems.
-
We will seek opportunities that benefit black communities as a whole, not just black individuals. We will hold black individuals accountable for investing in black communities.
-
We will require businesses we patronize to invest in Black communities with quantifiable impact.
